Job Description

The Jr. Petrophysicist will conduct the Petrophysic needs of the developing Oil and Gas sector which includes the Interpreting and Integrating Petrophysical, Rock and Production Data in evaluating the development fields of Guyana

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Earth Science, Geophysics, Engineering, etc.).

Experience is an asset but not compulsory.

Core Competencies/Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Good interpersonal skills; ability to adapt to different cultural and business environments.

Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Ability to learn sophisticated software programs such as Geolog.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to work outside normal office hours when required.

Responsibilities

Provide log analysis, petrophysical interpretations, and data management services.

Develop logging and core analysis programs to meet formation evaluation needs.

Prepare geological and reservoir studies, including resource evaluation, field review, and models.

Provide technical operational support to drilling and completion operations.

Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and engineers to create reservoir models.

Work with company partners to develop optimal solutions for oil and gas field development in Guyana.

Assist in oil and gas reserves preparations.

Perform other assigned tasks.
