The cashier is responsible for receiving all payments for goods purchased. He/she ensures that the day’s sales are accurately transacted and accounted for on a daily basis.

Requirements
- A minimum of five subject CXC with passes in English Language and Mathematics.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Cashier.
- Ability to compute mathematical data.
- Knowledge of POS and Bar Code devices, cash register and money counter.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to details.
- Polite and Customer friendly.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that you have enough change to use for the day.
- Scan or enter all goods and collect cash payments accurately.
- Notify the appropriate Supervisor if a barcode in incorrect or if the item is not barcoded
- If Customer is paying with a Card, get an authorized person to complete the transaction.
- All foreign Debit/Credit Cards carry a 4% transaction fee, you are responsible for ensuring you receive the correct amount.
- Cheques payments are done at the back cashiers.
- Send cash regularly to the office – call an authorized person to clear.
- Assist in testing, wrapping and checking goods for damages.
- Assist the Delivery Clerk if they have a lot of goods to deliver, do not start a new customer unless the delivery clerk has completed their delivery.
- Assist in resolving Customers complaints in the most professional and mutual way
- If a customer disputes their change or how much money they gave you, please call a Supervisor to run the camera
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Balance cash drawer daily
- Replenish Gift bags, Gift Paper, Foam Sheets and Toys or any other items that are sold at the Cashier’s station
- Ensure that you have packing materials before starting your day
- Any other duties assigned by Supervisor
