Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Officer Full Time NEW

Description

The incumbent will support the HSEQ Coordinator in promoting Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality practices throughout 2020 FMCG Inc. – trading as Farfan & Mendes – while helping to ensure compliance with all legislative requirements at assigned sites and workshops.

Responsibilities

•       Assist with routine site inspections and hazard/near-miss checks across assigned locations and workshops

•       Assist with developing and updating risk assessments for tasks and workshop activities

•       Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, and maintain accurate records

•       Assist with checking that safety signage is in place, visible, and undamaged, and follow-up on replacements

•       Assist with delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings at assigned locations

•       Assist with audit preparation and monitoring employee compliance with HSEQ policies and PPE requirements

•       Assist with coordinating emergency drills and maintaining contingency plan documentation

Requirements

•       Minimum of five (5) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English

•       Experience in HSEQ would be an asset

•       Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite

•       Good oral and written communication skills

•       Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

•       Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude

•       Good time management skills

•       Willingness to learn and work across workshop and warehouse environments
